NeNe Leakes Spinoff May Highlight Renewed Friendship with Kim Zolciak

NeNe Leakes spinoff will feature her second marriage to ex-husband Gregg Leakes but the delight may be her reunion with former enemy Kim Zolciak. Last week it was rumored NeNe Leakes who leads the Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies with a reported salary of $1 million landed her first spinoff with Bravo, “I Dream of NeNe”. This past weekend the reality and sitcom actress confirmed the rumors via Twitter:

“YES the rumors r true! I will marry my love AGAIN! I Dream Of Nene-The Wedding special coming soon!”

“I Dream Of Nene-The Wedding coming soon on Bravo! Greg & I hope 2 inspire others 2 save their marriage.”

According to US Weekly, NeNe will be working hard to rekindle other broken relationships while simultaneously planning a fabulous wedding.

In I Dream of NeNe, cameras will follow the over-the-top housewife as she works with — and butts heads with — celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Cook. Bridal party members, according to a press release, will include castmate Cynthia Bailey and controversial featured guest star Marlo Hampton.

NeNe also strives to bury the hatchet with Gregg’s children from previous relationships — and with her own, estranged father, Curtis. It’s the third wedding-inspired housewife spinoff from Bravo.

What is not mentioned is NeNe and her newly reformed friendship with Kim Zolciak. Over three seasons of RHOA the women evolved from best friends to bitter enemies. Over the last month however, Leakes “extended an olive branch.” The women sealed their rekindled friendship on the three-part reunion of RHOA. But unlike VH1’s Basketball Wives where Evelyn Lozada had a similar moment with former enemy Jennifer Williams yet forgot to extend an invitation to her wedding to Williams, Leakes is going the extra mile.

“[Kim’s] invited to my wedding, and I believe she’ll come,” NeNe tells In Touch in a new interview published last month. Zolciak responded, also to InTouch, “I have always been and I continue to be happy for NeNe, and I look forward to being invited to the wedding. NeNe and I started this journey together and although we have had our ups and downs, I am excited to get our friendship back on track.”
