Karrueche Tran Goes In For ‘The Kill:’ New Clothing Line

Karrueche Tran has posted several pictures hinting at a new clothing line called The-Kill along with some photos suggesting that the dark haired beauty might be going blonde soon.

Some rumors would say that Tran is over Chris, while others suggest that the aspiring model is still head over heels with the bad boy of R&B. Either way, she is definitely using her instant fame from being Chris’s ex girlfriend and making the most of it – and not by getting a reality show (Thank goodness).

The 23-year-old Vietnamese beauty has posted several pictures on Twitter and Instagram with apparel featuring the words “The Kill.”

Many blogs and tabloids have speculated that the brand will be Chris Brown’s ex’s new clothing line which makes sense considering the fact that Tran has been getting her feet wet in the modeling industry.

In addition to sporting clothes with the name of the mystery brand on it, she tweeted a link to the website which is scheduled to launch on 12.12.12 according to the timer featured on the website.

The good news for Tran is that she has a few celebrity friends who don’t mind helping out the cause. Ex boyfriend, Chris Brown has already been snapped in a The-Kill white tee shirt last week while Christina Milian went to the Clippers vs Heat game on November 14 in a stylish black The-Kill skully.

Moving on to her own business venture, even though she does seem to have Chris’s support, is a good sign that before you know it the young model will be able to focus on establishing her new brand instead of worrying about the crazy love triangle with her, Chris Brown, and his “friend” Rihanna.

If you believe the cliché message about when a girl makes a drastic change after a break up then it seems like Karrueche might already be pretty close to being over her ex.

After tweeting several pictures about her new brand, she then tweeted a picture of herself with blond hair along side another male companion. The big change still hasn’t happened yet though.

The caption along with the picture said, “I so wanna go back to this! Miss my blonde self.”

A new change would probably be good thing in her personal life, but we would like to warn the aspiring model that the blonde hair – although it does look great on her – still doesn’t seem quite as “modelesque” as the darker hair color that she has now.

According to some tabloids, however, the goal of the hair change isn’t even for her career anyway… it’s for Chris?

While it’s only speculation several blogs and gossip mags have stated that Rihanna’s nemesis is only going with the big change in order to get some attention out of the “Don’t Judge Me” crooner.

While I personally disagree considering the fact that it doesn’t seem like she has a problem getting attention from the singer turned rapper – the problem is simply that RiRi is getting that very same love and affection – and he is even sporting her rumored clothing line.

Seems like she is wising up and using the Chris for his fame in order to launch her own career… smart girl.

Independent journalism still matters.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
