Bobbi Kristina Brown Must Grieve In Private Say Experts

UPDATE-As the world mourns the unexpected death of Whitney Houston, her only daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown is receiving support from many who can only imagine the stress the 18-year old is under. Bobbi Kristina has already been hospitalized and treated for stress and anxiety after reportedly suffering a complete emotional breakdown. In the midst of it all, Bobbi is stuck in the middle of her mother’s family fighting her father Bobby Brown. Reportedly Houston’s family is accusing Brown of latching onto Bobbi only to gain access to Whitney’s assets.

While the family settles their disputes publicly, the likes of Janet Jackson, Aretha Franklin and many others have offered their support. Most recently Kelly Rowland jumped to the defense of Bobbi,

“The media should calm down. Allow this to be a moment for Bobbi Kristina to have for herself. Leave her alone! Let her have her moment. This is not about anybody else. She’s lost her mother, and [Whitney Houston’s] mother has lost her child. Respect that,” said Rowland to Access Hollywood.

“My prayers go out to Bobbi Kristina and [Whitney’s] mother (Cissy Houston),” continued Rowland. “I don’t want to cry. I want to be strong for them. I think when it comes to privacy, we should respect theirs.”

Dr. Kirsti Dyer, a grief specialist of Madonna University couldn’t agree more telling Shine.com

“They face additional burdens because all of the speculations and emerging details of the death and of the parent’s life.”

In some cases, the grieving kids become the focus of curiosity, as much as the deceased. As was the case with Michael Jackson’s three children.

“Children see both the good and the bad being written about, broadcast, tweeted and posted on Facebook for everyone to see,” Dr. Dyer added. “Limiting their exposure to the media can be beneficial to their grieving process, so that every time they see a news report, read a magazine or go on line they will not be reminded of the death again, and again.”

We hope Bobbi Kristina Brown gets some professional help in coping with what must be a heart wrenching experience.
