UPDATE-Giuliana Rancic is moving on with her career and heading into phase three of her life without breast cancer after her double lumpectomy did not completely remove the cancer. Rancic, 37, revealed she will undergo a double mastectomy and take some time off from work to complete the procedure. She told Ryan Seacrest this past week,
“I’ll be on E! News Monday and then I’ll be out of your hair for two weeks.”
Yesterday Giuliana and her husband Bill Rancic joined talk show host Wendy Williams and proved that you can still maintain humor through the most stressful situations.
Giuliana revealed on Wendy that immediately following her double mastectomy she will undergo reconstructive surgery. The decision will also increase the chances for Giuliana getting pregnant in the near future.
“Listen, I love my girls, but I’m gonna feel more like a woman when this is all done.”
“They might come out looking even hotter. You gotta have fun with this. We find the humor in everything. Bill helped pick ’em out. I’m like, ‘Bill, that big? Really?'”
You know what they say, ‘The couple that laughs together…’
Rancic stressed that choosing the mastectomy over radiation and lumpectomy would leave her with a 1% percent chance of a re-occurrence as oppose to up to a 40% chance with the latter. And the scars? No biggie.
“Scars are beautiful. I think scars tell a story.” Bill added, like ‘a badge of courage’. And a badge Giuliana will wear proudly.
Giuliana also left a quote with People magazine that will resonate with many other women, “My breasts have never defined me — and now they never will.” Breast cancer will not stop Giuliana…hours later she was on the red carpet interviewing Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the premiere of “In the Land of Blood and Honey”! looking “happy and upbeat.

Alec Baldwin Gets Booted From American Airlines Flight
Alec Baldwin’s addiction to ‘Words with Friends’ cost him a seat aboard an American Airlines flight at the Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday. The ’30 Rock’ actor who was on his way to New York City, ignored a request from a flight attendant to turn off his phone before take off. But Baldwin argued that the plane was still at the gate. If the flight attendant didn’t understand his rational, there’s always Twitter;
“Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing Words With Friends while we sat at the gate, not moving,” vented Alec to his Twitter followers.
After finally complying to the request, an apparently still heated Baldwin went to the bathroom while the seat belt sign was on. What happens after is uncertain. One source stated Baldwin slammed the door so hard that the pilot came out to see what was going on and later asked Alec to leave. Another source states that Alec wanted to get the name of the flight attendant but her peers protected her. But another source countered stating Baldwin was abusive to the flight attendant who was only following flight rules.
Either way, Alec left the plane and boarded another American Airlines flight to NYC.
“Now on the 3 o’clock American flight. The flight attendants already look…..smarter,” tweeted Alec who couldn’t help take another dig
Balwin’s spokesperson Matthew Hiltzik released a written statement defending Alec’s actions,
“He loves ‘Words with Friends’ so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it.” Reportedly Alec will fly with United for future flights.
Update: Boxer Oscar De La Hoya was on board the flight and told reporters in New York: “I actually felt Alec Baldwin was turning off his devices, and he just got a little angry.” Looks like Baldwin’s publicist will be working overtime!
