Halle Berry Reveals Baby Bump, ‘Watch Hunger Stop’ Campaign

Halle Berry just announced her pregnancy on Friday and now the mother-of-one is already showing a small baby bump out on the red carpet.

It’s the first time Berry stepped out in front of the media spotlight since she announce being pregnant again, and what she considers a rather shocking pregnancy came at just the right time.

While many celebrity mommies are simply getting pregnant and anticipating how fat of a check they can get out of their baby photos (ahem… we’re talking about you Kim), Halle is using her baby bump to help promote a rather worthy cause.

The YBF writes:

Halle Berry showed off her emerging baby bump last night as she posed in The Pool Room at the Four Seasons hotel for the United Nations World Food Programme. Joined by Michael Kors, she launched the “Watch Hunger Stop” philanthropic effort which will provide 100 meals to children through UN programs, funded by the sale of Michael’s specially-designed “Runway” watch.

So how is she using her new pregnancy for the cause?

In addition to tackling hunger she wants to educate the women in Africa, Syria, and Central America (the locations where the meals will be distributed).

“I hope we go while I’m pregnant, so I can talk about prenatal care,” she said. “It’s so important to me, being a mom, that I can help educate women on how important it is what when you have a healthy child, it helps set them up for life.”

The gushing mommy is also extremely grateful that she has another bun in the over because she felt as if time was already up on her biological clock.

“I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth,” she continued. “I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

Don’t think Kors decided to team up with Berry simply because she’s expecting either. He revealed that in more ways than one, Hale was just the perfect partner for such a project.

The LA Times reports:

Kors, who is also a judge on “Project Runway,” chose to work with Berry because he is “enthralled by fabulous jugglers.”

Kors said of his partner. “I wanted someone talented, check. Someone compassionate to the world, a great mother, someone incredibly glamorous and chic — and who makes it all look easy.”
