Kris Humphries: Kim K's Unplanned Pregnancy Shouldn't Rush Divorce

Kris Humphries believes that ex Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy is no reason to rush their long divorce battle.  Despite the fact that Kardashian filed for divorce in 2011, she and Humphries, 28, are still legally married, reportedly due to his unwillingness to settle.

In December, Kardashian, 32, announced she was carrying boyfriend Kanye West’s baby. The two have been dating for around a year.

Now, a lawyer for Humphries, Marshall Waller,  has filed new documents accusing Kim, of trying to use the pregnancy to speed up the divorce. Waller states Humphries had nothing to do with her “unplanned pregnancy” and the situation should not affect litigation.

According to TMZ, documents read: ‘What is really going on here is that an “urgency” in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something [Humphries] had nothing to do with, is perceived by [Kim] as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial.”

Kris’s lawyer took a further knock  at Kim in a footnote after the word “pregnancy” that states: “Indeed, why would [Kim] plan to get pregnant in the midst of divorce proceedings?”

The two have been playing dirty in court ever since Kardashian filed for divorce in October 2011 to end their 72 day marriage (which featured an over the top TV special). The primary source of disagreement is how to legally end the marriage. Kris wants an annulment on grounds of fraud, while Kim K denies that she married him under false pretenses and wants a divorce.

Kardashian’s lawyer wants to set a trial date for March, but Humphries insists he is busy with work until “May or June”–coincidentally the time of Kim’s due date.

Kardashian has remained mum on the case publicly, but sister Khloe recently called Humphries “gross” and “delusional” in a recent interview, claiming Humphries is after attention and money.

The two have yet to set a trial date to battle it out in court.
