Kenya Moore Responds to 'Fake Boyfriend' Walter Jackson

Is ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ breakout star Kenya Moore’s relationship with Walter Jackson real or imagined? Well, that depends on who you ask. According to Walter, he dated the former Miss U.S.A. (or was it Miss America–where’s Porsha when you need her?) for three months almost three years ago. He recently did an on-air interview with Atlanta’s own V103 radio show to discuss his involvement on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ and to explain his obvious lack of interest in Moore.

Jackson said that Kenya contacted him shortly after she was cast on ‘Housewives’ to ask him to portray the role of her boyfriend. With the prospect of fame and money on the table, of course he obliged.

Ms. Moore, who apparently wants desperately to be Mrs. Jackson, responded to Walter’s claim that their relationship on the show was fake. “The truth is and has always been that I want to be in a loving, honest, long-term relationship with someone who genuinely loves me for me — Walter’s recent statements are completely false. I am embarrassed that I allowed a deceitful and hateful person in my life. He says he ‘did it for fame.’ I’ve been humiliated enough by appearing desperate for a man to marry me who now admits he had his own agenda. I urge viewers to stay tuned because the truth will come to light. I am moving on from this situation and hope he can as well with respect and dignity going forward. I have heard the fans and my friends loud and clear … I can do better than Walter, and I will.”

I’m not sure if she can do better though. In the most recent show, the unmarried Moore decided to shake her booty and suggestively dance with some of the other women’s husbands. While the husbands certainly liked the attention, their wives felt differently. Side note: (Why none of them addressed that foolishness immediately is beyond me.)

The wanna-be bride was so flirtatious with fellow cast mate Phaedra Parks’ husband Apollo, that the self-proclaimed southern belle Parks broke decorum–entering breakfast the next day in a thong bathing suit covered with a fishnet overlay. The whole world knew that Phaedra had a donkey booty; now our eyes have seen.

Moore might have thought her antics, designed to get her fake boyfriend’s attention, were cute, but I don’t know many marriage-minded men who would want their girlfriend openly and shamelessly flirting with another woman’s husband. Sorry Mrs. Jacks–err, I mean Ms. Moore. That’s not how it works.

The former Miss U.S.A. has acknowledged that she’s looked foolish running after Walter to get a proposal, but she still seems to miss the big picture. Episodes back, the beauty talked openly about how she doesn’t love her mother because she was basically ignored by her all her life. As well, Moore has admitted to being in an abusive relationship as a teen. Shortly after she won the Miss U.S.A pageant, she gave an interview detailing how that relationship made her wiser in choosing men. “If there is any sign of their being insecure, I won’t get involved” Kenya stated.

Um…what about her glaring insecurities?

In a bombshell moment during the Anguilla trip Walter suggested that Kenya take her medication after her meltdown over the quality, or lack thereof, of their bathroom. (Mind you Moore wasn’t even invited on the trip. The fact that Cynthia let her have a room is more than enough reason for her to be grateful.)

If she does have some sort of mood disorder or mental illness, on top of her obvious lack of self esteem, she is really doing a herself a disservice by being on the show. Her issues–insecurity, anger toward her mother, potential untreated mental illness–might make for good TV, but it definitely will make it tougher for Moore to actually have the one thing she says she wants most; a loving, stable relationship that eventually leads to marriage.
