Kim Zolciak Quits The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Kim Zolciak is having a rough week. First, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has reportedly quit the show that made her famous. Next, her father Joe Zolciak is calling his daughter a liar in the press and fighting with her in court over visitation of his grandchildren. The feud between the two began when Joe and his wife Karen informed a Georgia court that they were being unfairly blocked from their grandchildren’s lives. That prompted Kim to fire back, claiming that her parents are bad grandparents and disrespectful people. Messy, indeed.

To add insult to injury, Mr. Zolciak is speaking to the press and attacking his daughter’s character in the process. In one such attack, Kim’s father paints Kim as a bad role model for her children stating, “She has been married twice and has three different fathers of her four children. Let’s face the facts.” Ouch! Never one to miss an opportunity to publicly call out her former friend, NeNe took to Twitter to express her relief (and delight, perhaps?) that finally Kim is being outed as a liar. She tweeted, “Liar, liar ur pants r on fire & finally someone else is saying it! The truth always comes out n the end.” Double ouch!

This is the first time her family has aired their dirty laundry in public, but Kim is definitely no stranger to drama. The ‘Tardy for the Party’ singer has endured quite a few verbal attacks from Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member NeNe Leakes and even an infamous incident when fellow Housewives co-star Sheree’ Whitfield tried to take off Kim’s wig during a heated argument. But, the final straw that prompted the reality TV star to quit the show came during the new season. During an upcoming episode, Kim and the other women were asked by Cynthia to come to Anguilla to watch her and Peter renew their vows. At the time, Kim was eight months pregnant and had been instructed by her doctor not to fly. Naturally, Kim declined the offer…and that’s when all hell broke loose.

According to the new Mrs. Biermann, the ladies argued with her about her refusal to attend the nuptials and she’d had enough. “I was eight months pregnant and there was so much drama, I just had to walk…I’ve taken on so much in the past five years, but this was the final straw. My priority was the child inside me.”

Kim’s dramatic exit will air December 2nd. Even though she’s left The Real Housewives of Atlanta (for now), she will still star in her own show on Bravo early next year.
