Britney Spears X Factor: Jennifer Lopez made her debut on American Idol with a $12 million one-year contract but while she negotiated a new contract worth nearly $20 million there was no way Britney Spears was going to make less in her debut.
According to TMZ, Britney’s lone demand was to land a bigger paycheck than JLo. In early negotiations Britney asked for $20m and her bottom number was $13m – remember Jennifer’s initial contract was $12M. In the end the newest X Factor judge signed a $15million contract.
Can you blame Britney for having standards? Meanwhile Jennifer is busy working her magic to secure yet another increase for her third year on American Idol.
