Rihanna, Usher Round Off Performers For Grammy Nominations Concert

Pop star Rihanna, R&B singer Usher and country music sensation The Band Perry have been added to the line up of performers for The Grammy Nominations Live Concert, a musical celebration slated as the precursor for the 2012 Grammys.

These musical powerhouses join an already star studded cast including Lady Gaga, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Sugarland and Jason Aldean for performances sure to delight fans on Wednesday November 30.

According to Billboard.com, LL Cool J will return to host the show which airs 10 p.m. on CBS marking the fourth year the Recording Academy has held the concert.

During this special, some of music’s biggest names will take the stage while nominations for major Grammy categories are announced. The 2012 Grammy Awards are scheduled to air at 8pm on February 12 at the Staples Center.

Pop diva Rihanna, who has previously taken home four Grammy Awards including Best Rap/Song Collaboration for Umbrella, two trophies for Run This Town (including Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Song Collaboration) and Best Dance Recording for Only Girl (In the World), is currently on cloud nine as she celebrates the release of her upcoming sixth album entitled, Talk That Talk, which already includes hit singles We Found Love and You Da One.

Usher’s name is of course synonymous with the Grammy’s as he’s collected seven trophies during his 13 year career for Best R&B Male Vocalist for U Remind Me and U Don’t Have To Call, Best Rap/Song Collaboration for Yeah, Best Contemporary R&B Album for Confessions, Best R&B Vocal Performance By a Duo/Group for My Boo, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for There Goes My Baby as well as Best Contemporary R&B Album for Raymond v. Raymond!

Whew! Now that’s what I call a collection; one I’m sure will only grow as Usher’s latest hit, Without You, currently blazes airwaves worldwide.

With names like Rihanna and Usher, this year’s pre-Grammy show is sure to be a crowd pleaser.   We will certainly be watching, will you?
