Chris Brown captured a record breaking crowd with his performance at the Today’s show. This is a win for Chris Brown who suffered another set back after The Sun newspaper printed a story detailing Brown hurling gay slurs why playing basketball.
Brown and his management have since provided evidence to the contrary but not before some damage was done. This was a personal redemption for Chris Brown when fans reportedly began camping out two days prior to his performance.
Al Roker and Matt Lauer estimated that Chris Brown captured between 18,000 to 20,000 people – their biggest number this year for their Summer Concert Series. Chris beat out the likes of Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
Brown thanked his fans on Twitter posting:
“I love Team Breezy so much,” he tweeted. “Wish the concert was longer today! Thx you Today show for your everything Love ya!”
